Marry a Mafia – Episode 29 (Readable Story Version)
When Serena hears gunshots echo through the estate, she runs straight into a nightmare.
Whitman stands over Dorian with murder in his eyes, finally dropping the mask he wore for years. The “family friend” was the traitor all along — the one responsible for Dorian’s father’s death and the bloody betrayal that nearly destroyed the Kensington empire.
Whitman laughs as he points the gun at them.
“You’re just like your father, Dorian. Too weak to suspect your own blood.”
Before Dorian can react, Whitman gives the order to kill them both.
Gunfire explodes through the hall.
Serena throws herself toward Dorian just as the bullet tears past her shoulder.
For one horrifying second, Dorian thinks he’s lost her.
But Serena forces herself to smile through the pain.
“It’s only a scratch…”
Dorian holds her tightly, guilt crushing him as the truth finally sinks in — every danger surrounding him will always threaten the woman he loves most.
But instead of running away, Serena makes her choice.
“If we stay together… this danger will never end, right?”
Dorian lowers his head in silence.
Then Serena gently takes his hand.
“So stop carrying everything alone. Lean on me too. I’ll protect your back.”
For the first time, the feared mafia heir breaks completely vulnerable in her arms.
And with enemies still hunting them from the shadows, Dorian finally says the words he’s been holding back all this time:
“I love you.”
