Serena dropped to her knees in the dirt, desperately begging Lola to return what belonged to her. But Lola only laughed.
“To the weak, promises are just mercy from the strong,” she sneered, grinding Serena into the ground. “And you don’t even deserve my mercy.”
The years of hatred finally exploded.
Lola admitted the truth she’d hidden all along — she hated Serena for one reason only: Serena was prettier.
“If you weren’t so beautiful, Gilbert would’ve never looked at you twice!”
Blinded by jealousy, Lola grabbed a blade and stepped toward Serena with a terrifying smile.
“Let’s ruin that face forever.”
The crowd cheered her on.
“Slash her face!”
Serena was trapped… until a scream suddenly tore through the room.
“AHH! My hand!”
A cold, deadly voice echoed behind them.
“Who gave you the right to touch my wife?”
Dorian had arrived.
And this time… the mafia king was done showing mercy.
