Marry a Mafia – Episode 20 (Readable Story Version)

She Was Humiliated as a Maid… But the Ring on Her Finger Terrified Everyone

Serena lunged forward, panic flashing across her face.
“Give it back! That’s my ring!”

But the woman only sneered and tightened her grip around the crimson seal ring.

“No chance.”

The commotion instantly drew attention across the estate office. Papers stopped moving. Conversations died mid-sentence. Then the room fell silent the moment one voice cut through the tension.

“What exactly is going on here?”

The headmistress had arrived.

Every servant straightened immediately, fear written all over their faces.

“You came at the perfect time!” one of the workers blurted out. “The new girl’s a thief! And she’s carrying a fake version of the Kensington family seal!”

The moment the headmistress saw the ring, her expression subtly changed.

The Kensington seal…

Her eyes narrowed.

Dorian actually handed something this important to a woman so casually?

She turned toward Serena.

“Is this ring yours?”

Serena nodded immediately. “Yes.”

The older woman studied the seal carefully before closing her hand around it.

“The Kensington family seal is not something that should be displayed carelessly,” she said coldly. “Real or fake, I’ll keep it until I learn the truth.”

Serena’s face paled.

“But you,” the headmistress continued, her tone sharpening, “causing chaos on your first day proves you lack professionalism. The Kensington estate has no use for lazy troublemakers.”

Every servant lowered their heads, relieved the punishment wasn’t aimed at them.

“Clean every restroom in the West Wing. You are not allowed to eat or leave until every single one is spotless.”

Serena clenched her fists.

“Yes, ma’am.”

Hours later, exhausted and humiliated, Serena finally saw Dorian again.

The moment he spotted her expression, guilt hit him instantly.

“Serena… I’m sorry,” he said quietly. “I failed to protect you. I never should’ve brought you here.”

But Serena shook her head gently.

“It’s not your fault. I just wasn’t careful enough.”

Then her eyes lifted toward him, filled with confusion.

“But Dorian… why did everyone react so strongly to that ring?”

She paused.

“What exactly is your family hiding?”
